Born in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, FAIS grew up in an environment constantly surrounded by music. He soon discovers his own series of heroes starting from Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Michael Jackson to John Legend and Alicia Keys, and is determined to pursue singing and songwriting as a lifetime career at an early stage in his life.

With four songs breaking the Dutch Top 40, FAIS has been awarded the Top 40 "Best New Act", "Most Successful Dutch Act" alongside Afrojack and named "Most Successful Male Singer" of 2018. Leading up to his performance at ESNS 2019, FAIS has been nominated for the Music Moves Europe Talent Awards 2018, the music prize of the European Commission.
